What if "mental health" isn't everything we've been told? What if there's more to it than just a “brain chemistry imbalance?”What if what we consider a pathology is actually an ability and a possibility? What if these are not permanent conditions but ones, that with the proper interventions, can actually be changed?Welcome to the Kaleidoscope of Possibilities: Alternative Perspectives on Mental Health, a podcast hosted by Dr. Adriana Popescu, a licensed psychologist, addiction and trauma specialist, and empowerment coach. In each episode, Dr. Adriana examines what is beyond the traditional point of view of mental health diagnosis, care, and treatment. She speaks with leaders and visionaries in the fields of Energy Psychology, consciousness, healing, and empowerment about what is beyond what we have decided we know about mental illness. She also explores the unique and fascinating stories of individuals, and those who care for them, who have used “alternative” treatments and paths to recovery. This show is a journey of discovering the possibilities of holistic care and treatment through a variety of lenses: from the spiritual to the shamanic, the naturopathic and beyond. Each conversation is designed to empower listeners to embrace their own awareness, gifts and capacities, and to create a greater world with them. SIGN UP FOR THE GRACE + GROWTH MONTHLY JOURNAL HERE:https://subscribepage.io/monthlyjournalHi and welcome to the shit show! After an unimaginable series of truly life altering events from 2019-2020, we decided to start: “Stay Wild Trauma Child”, the podcast. A platform where we discussed everything from everyday struggles to truly traumatic events. Most, if not all of our episodes will be highly sensitive and very controversial. Our mission is to create a platform where people have a place to:🌒 Feel seen🌒 Grieve🌒 Feel supported🌒 Find laughter in the dark moments🌒 Feel understood🌒 Safely explore their trauma without judgment🌒 Feel accepted🌒 Celebrate the tiny victories🌒 NOT feel 'behind' or brokenWe want our listeners to feel normal in the abnormal and to give a voice to the unheard. And as with any walk of life, the mission has evolved a bit since we have started. Don’t you worry, we are still committed to sharing the raw details of our healing journeys in the most authentic and humorous of ways. But now, we finally feel confident enough to start giving you new information, recommendations and resources that we’ve found along this emotional expedition! 🤗Que drumroll for Season 2:✨ The Demolition Diaries ✨In this season, we will be heavily focused on both learning about and deconstructing the dozens of different psychological theories and breakdowns surrounding wounds, traumas, triggers and the maladaptive behaviors that we develop as non-constructive coping mechanisms.⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING⚠️We will be covering things such as (but not limited to) mental/emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, divorce, co-parenting, mental disorders, neurological disorders, sudden loss, addiction, loving someone who’s an addict, guiding your children through trauma and loss etc.We are frequently checking in with each other to make sure that we are staying true to our tagline that’s been with us since day one.“Learn WITH us, not FROM us.”We are not doctors or professionals and we most certainly don’t have all the answers (yet! 😉). But we DO feel that it is vital to provide real people (going through very real and very human experiences) with an honest, raw and relatable source to grow WITH.Lastly and most importantly... our biggest hope is that while exploring the many facets of life, liberty and LITERALLY the many different pursuits of happiness... we can help your inner child both to remember and feel safe enough to find their wild again. ❤️Xoxo always,Steph & Jaim

Depression affects more than 375,000,000 worldwide. So, if you don't have it yourself, you know someone who does. Giving Voice to Depression was founded to start discussions that reduce stigma and promote understanding. We look at depression from many angles. Terry McGuire, a journalist with depression interviews a guest each week about their experience of depression. Some have episodes, others live with the mood disorder chronically. All share things that do and do not help their mental-health management.  After the pre-produced/edited guest's story,  Terry and cohost/licensed therapist Dr.  Anita Sanz comment on the issues presented. The episodes are informative, hopeful and seldom depressing. It's time to shine some light on depression's darkness! Join us.

Mind Ya Mama is currently a periodic podcast with new EP's about once a month, focusing on conversations regarding the structure that has been stigma with Mental health. As a black woman in a very white space, I have and will forever have my fair share of Mental health in this world. -I've endured years of feeling shamed and embarrassed about something that I cannot control. So, I decided to take this bull by its horns and ride it freely, while figuring out why there has been this idea of Mental health being a race based! I've spent the end of my 20's and beginning of my 30's educating myself to the max on my own Mental health Illness while also helping those around me understand specifically how it affects me day to day but also that not everyone is the same. Though the discussion around Mental health has become a normalized topic in today's world there still lacks an ignorance as well as a representation and vulnerability from not just people of color but WOMEN OF COLOR to openly speak out about their own with others. Together i know we are going to forever change the stigma and false representation of Mental health/wellness within our own communities of color. Episodes will range in topics that may feel personally relatable to whether previous or currently though nonetheless routed in false narratives.I will have amazing guest join me to discuss not only their personal experiences with mental health within their communities, careers, relationships and medical standpoints. All the while building a community to change what has been falsely presented to us throughout generations on what Mental health is and who it is for. Topics Will include Why is mental health so Taboo, Mental health labeled for white people, healthcare rooted in racism of stressed, praying it away, etc.Though anyone can relate on so many levels to the conversational topics we will have... I've created this space for all Women of color from different racial backgrounds. Get ready to laugh, cry, feel all the feels while relating to women around the globe and know you're not alone and it is all okay to feel each and every emotional way without shame! We are all here to learn grow and teach with love and kindness involved. MAKE SURE TO LIKE/ FOLLOW / SUBSCRIBE TO THE PODCAST!
