Popular Reviews of The Box Podcast

This podcast started off strong, but I'm not going to finish it. The first 17 episodes caught my interest, then the narrative takes a sudden turn into a contrived chosen one trope. Then there were long delays with periods of silence from the creator. Life happens, and delays are fine if the creator gives an occasional update, but I can't get invested in something when the next episode may be next week, next year, or never.

The Box was the first podcast to show me that an audiodrama could be - mostly - one woman instead of a large, complex cast and/or stories mostly driven by men. If it wasn't for The Box, I might never have created my own show or gotten as deeply into podcasts as I have.

Great show with lots of paranormal and strange stories.

I love how chaotic this podcast feels - like you're falling into the world right along with Addison (who is a wonderfully realistic character). I felt an entire spectrum of emotions over and over. Brilliant. A real shame it's been on an indefinite hiatus :( It happens! but I miss it a lot.

I had previously rated this a 2 on a private doc, but left no comments. Apparently, I just didn't like it.
