The audio tour for Spanish Paradise: Gardens of the Alhambra consists of two parts. The Federico García Lorca Poetry Walk, a self-guided tour developed in collaboration with Poetry Society of America, features 16 of his poems on signs located among the Botanical Garden's collections from the Leon Levy Visitor Center along Perennial Garden Way to the Conservatory Plaza. Christopher Maurer, Lorca expert and translator, and poet Tracy K. Smith provide commentary about the selected poems and Lorca's relationship with the culture and natural surroundings of the Alhambra and Granada. In the Conservatory, learn about the history of the Alhambra, the principles of Andalusian garden design, and the great variety of plants that can be found at the Alhambra today, many of which were imported to the region during the medieval era.
