Shadows at the Door has a great combination of stories and friends talking. Each episode has a story, sometimes from the public domain or sometimes new pieces written for the podcast. After each story the hosts, Mark Nixon and David Ault (who is often the entire cast), chat about the story. Their chemistry is brilliant fun and they mean into it with their drunk ghost story episodes. The story-tellong is versatile and while it is an anthology podcast, some episodes feature a recurring character, Professor Troughton, and an adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray spans three episodes. It's hard to choose favourites, but I especially enjoyed 'Slender Chances' and 'Gnothi Seaiton Audio Tour'. The first is a fun spin on Slenderman by Mark Nixon, and the latter by M Regan is a different approach to story telling by using a museum audio guide as a framing device.
