And that story always resonates with me because

2:02

in all the esoteric studies Deb and I

2:04

have done, it always

2:06

comes back to those same two

2:08

words, know thyself. It's

2:11

all inside of us. When

2:14

you learn to embrace your intuition and

2:16

trust the still small voice inside, you

2:18

unlock the secrets of your soul. As

2:21

you start to embrace your intuition, you

2:23

will feel more confident and empowered. And

2:26

by studying these tools, you'll gradually strengthen

2:28

your sixth sense and learn to be

2:30

your own psychic. So

2:33

the first tool we want to talk

2:35

about is my personal favorite, which is

2:37

psychometry. Psychometry is the

2:40

ability to read an object connected

2:42

to someone. When

2:44

we wear or carry something for a while,

2:46

really anything, it doesn't have to be a

2:48

special piece of cherished jewelry. It can be

2:50

your car keys, your phone, your watch. Our

2:53

energy attaches to this object. Many

2:56

intuitives can hold this object and pick up

2:58

on information connected to the wear. The

3:01

word is derived from the Greek

3:03

word psyche, meaning soul, and metron,

3:05

meaning measure. Joseph

3:07

Buchanan coined the term in

3:09

1842. He conducted an

3:11

experiment with his students where he plays

3:14

different drugs and vials, and

3:16

had the students hold the vials and identify

3:18

the drugs based on what they sensed from

3:20

simply holding the vials. The

3:22

success rate was greater than chance. Buchanan

3:25

believed all objects had souls

3:27

which retained memory. In

3:29

1919, a German doctor named Gustav

3:32

Pagentäcker discovered that one of his

3:34

patients, Maria Reis De Zierold, could

3:36

put herself into a trance while

3:38

holding an object and could tell

3:40

information about the owner's past, present,

3:42

and future. Dr. Pagentäcker

3:44

believed objects held on to the vibrations

3:46

of the wearer, and this

3:49

is what the intuitives were reading while

3:51

holding the object. Rosemary

3:53

Ellen Guyly says information is passed

3:55

to the intuitive through vibrations imbued

3:58

into the objects by emotion. find

20:16

get into our next crystal tool. Okay,

20:18

so crystals are not only a gift

20:20

from the earth that can help us

20:23

increase our vibrations and open our third

20:25

eye and protect our spiritual energy, plus

20:28

charge up our whole room and house with

20:30

positive vibes, they can also help

20:32

us with our intuition. Crystals have

20:35

been used throughout the ages as talismans

20:37

for protection, adornments in temples, and symbols

20:39

of loyalty and love. We all know

20:41

they're used in watches and computers, but

20:43

they can also be used to jumpstart

20:46

your psychic ability. Crystals work

20:48

within our auric field and serve as

20:50

a conduit for energy flow. So

20:53

you can use crystals to enhance

20:56

your meditation, to awaken your

20:58

third eye. Think about it this way.

21:00

This is how I like to explain

21:02

crystals. A crystal vibrates at

21:04

a fixed rate. So let's

21:06

just make up a scale of zero to

21:08

10. So let's say a rose quartz always

21:11

vibrates at a seven. And

21:13

let's say a citrine always vibrates at an

21:15

eight. I'm making these up, but just for

21:17

example, they vibrate at a fixed

21:19

rate. It never changes. We, on

21:21

the other hand, we vibrate at all sorts of

21:24

different rates. We might wake up vibrating at an

21:26

eight. This is going to be a great day.

21:28

Everything's fine. And when we go to bed, we

21:30

might be vibrating at a two because

21:33

life happens and our energy goes up and

21:35

it goes down. When, and

21:37

science has proven this, when

21:39

we are within the energetic vibration

21:42

of a crystal, our

21:44

vibrations and the crystals vibrations

21:47

meet and connect. And

21:49

the crystal harmonizes our vibration

21:52

to match its own. Isn't

21:55

that cool? I mean, that's how amazing crystals are.

21:57

So if you're feeling low, you can go to a high. vibration

22:00

crystal, like clear quartz,

22:02

and pull your energy up. If

22:05

you're feeling way too up and you

22:07

need to ground yourself, you can go

22:09

to a jasper or hematite and balance

22:11

your energy out. So crystals

22:13

can do so much for us. When

22:16

we wear or carry crystals with

22:18

us, they are sinking our energetic

22:21

fields and helping us to awaken

22:23

our intuition. So there are

22:25

several ways you can use crystals to enhance

22:27

your intuition. One I think

22:30

that most people think about is crystal

22:32

scrying. This is an ancient technique that

22:34

goes back 5,000 years. It

22:37

involves staring into a crystal, allowing

22:40

one to access the unconscious mind in

22:42

higher levels of intuition. Queen

22:45

Elizabeth I astrologer John Dee,

22:47

he used an obsidian for

22:49

scrying. Jean Dixon, who we've talked

22:51

about on the show also, she's

22:53

the one who's famous for predicting

22:56

John F. Kennedy's assassination, she used

22:58

a crystal ball to get her

23:00

scrying psychic information. So

23:02

scrying involves the act of relaxing your

23:04

mind so that you can connect with

23:06

your intuitive guidance. The

23:08

word comes from the Old English descry,

23:11

which means to reveal. Mystics

23:13

throughout the ages have used water or

23:15

crystals to practice scrying. Nostradamus

23:17

used a bowl of water to see

23:20

his visions. Scrying allows the conscious mind

23:22

to relax so that you can get

23:24

into a deeper, more trance-like state. When

23:27

I first learned about scrying, I thought the images

23:29

and visions would appear in the crystal ball or

23:32

the bowl of water. But what

23:34

actually happens is that the images,

23:36

information, and messages appear in your

23:38

mind's eye. The

23:40

act of scrying is simply to allow

23:43

your monkey mind, your overthinking, anxious go-go-go

23:45

mind to relax so that you can

23:47

tap into your super conscious or higher

23:50

self for guidance and information. So

23:52

if you'd like to try scrying, you can

23:54

either fill a shallow bowl with water or

23:57

look into a crystal ball, or you can stare

23:59

at a candle. flame. I like

24:01

to take a large clear quartz and

24:03

just stare into that. So I don't

24:05

have a crystal ball, but I do

24:08

have a large clear quartz and

24:10

often I will just meditate by staring

24:12

into the shapes of the stone. You

24:15

want to sit in a dimly lit

24:17

room, follow the guidelines for grounding, opening

24:19

and spinning your chakras, and then stare

24:21

into the bowl, the ball or the

24:23

flame and let your mind relax. When

24:26

you're done, write down any symbols, pictures,

24:28

words, sounds, people, or images or ideas

24:31

that came into your mind. Now you

24:33

can also use crystals to do a

24:35

crystal reading. You can use a chakra

24:37

bag with a crystal representing each chakra

24:40

to do a very accurate reading. Let's

24:42

say, for example, you ask a question

24:44

like, what is blocking me from getting

24:47

the job I'm seeking? And

24:49

you reach into your chakra bag and you pull a

24:52

jasper, a rose quartz, and an

24:54

angelite. Well, these crystals are

24:56

telling you that first you need to focus

24:58

on grounding your energy and your goals in

25:00

the here and now. Jasper is

25:02

telling you to focus on the root

25:04

chakra and make sure you feel safe

25:07

and secure where you are now before

25:09

you can manifest this new position. The

25:12

rose quartz is asking you to release your current

25:14

job with love and to focus more on your

25:16

heart chakra. As you get

25:18

more grounded in the here and now

25:20

and focus on loving yourself, you'll be

25:22

able to attract the best job for

25:25

you. The angelite is highlighting your throat

25:27

chakra, bringing a message that you need

25:29

to communicate your needs. Make sure you're

25:31

heard and valued and be authentic with

25:33

your goal. It could be that

25:35

there's something left unsaid at your current job that

25:37

needs to be spoken aloud, or

25:39

it could indicate there's an aspect of this goal

25:41

you need to be more honest about. Do you

25:43

really want this job or are you

25:46

just after more money or a new location? The

25:49

angelite also reminds you to call on the help

25:51

of your guides and angels. The

25:53

beauty of doing a crystal reading is that

25:56

it allows your mind to focus on the

25:58

stones so your intuition can soar and become

26:00

a true receiver of psychic information. So something

26:03

I love about doing a crystal reading, you

26:06

guys know I love tarot and oracle cards

26:08

and I look to them often, but

26:10

I'm always thinking, wait, what

26:13

does the Knight of Wands mean reversed? Let

26:15

me look that up. And so it pops

26:17

me into my thinking mind very, very quickly.

26:20

Intuition kind of dies in the

26:22

thinking mind. So what's nice about

26:24

doing a crystal reading, there's

26:27

nothing to think about necessarily. There's no book,

26:29

there's no right or wrong way to do

26:31

it. If a rose quartz reminds you of

26:33

love, then that's what that

26:35

stone means. But if a rose

26:37

quartz to you means forgiveness, then that's what

26:40

it means in that reading. And

26:42

so that's the beauty of trying to do a

26:44

crystal reading. I really think everyone should at least

26:46

give it a try. So let's

26:48

move from crystals to talk about

26:50

dreams. Let's talk about oniromancy.

26:52

Isn't that a great word? Oniromancy,

26:54

which is a form of divination

26:57

based on dreams and uses dreams

26:59

to predict the future. Obviously, of

27:01

course, it has been dismissed by

27:03

the scientific community and skeptics as

27:05

being superstition experiments do not support

27:08

the idea in any way that

27:10

dreams can predict the future beyond

27:12

the expectations of the person dreaming.

27:14

Occasionally, the dreamer feels as if

27:16

he or she is transported to

27:19

another time or place, proving

27:21

they are in fact providing divine

27:23

information upon their return. Now, given

27:26

that science says, no, this isn't

27:28

real, there certainly have been some

27:30

spiritual validations about the idea of

27:33

divination. And of course, the Bible is

27:35

filled with them. And I'll just

27:37

share a couple of them. Many of

27:39

these you all know about God speaking

27:42

to Abraham while he is in

27:44

a deep sleep. Jacob dreaming

27:46

of the ladder to heaven. Jacob's

27:48

son Joseph dreaming of his future success

27:50

and interpreting the dreams of the pharaohs.

27:53

You know, sorts of stuff in Egypt

27:55

with that. Solomon conversing with

27:57

God in his dreams. The Magi.

28:00

being told in a dream to avoid Herod on

28:02

their journey home. Joseph, when betrothed

28:04

to Mary, was told not to

28:06

fear taking her as his wife.

28:09

And then later, when they were

28:11

married, directed to flee with Mary

28:13

and Jesus to Egypt. And he goes

28:15

on and on and on. So lots of biblical references

28:18

to dreams giving us information

28:20

that needed to be heeded.

28:22

There's a wonderful book, a

28:25

manuscript called the Ramsides Dream

28:27

Book, now in the

28:29

British Museum. An example of

28:31

dream interpretation from pre-Elynistic Egypt.

28:34

Just fascinating how this notion

28:36

of what our dream state

28:38

gives us across so

28:41

many different cultures. Mesopotamia,

28:43

Greece, Persia, Egypt, so

28:45

many other places where we're told

28:47

what is going to happen in

28:49

our dream state as we sleep

28:51

at night. Science, of course, tells

28:53

us we don't really know why we dream even,

28:56

much less whether or not they provide

28:58

us with information that's valid. We

29:00

wonder if they are a way of

29:02

sorting through events and emotions of our

29:05

days. Do they help us problem solve

29:07

with the assistance of our unconscious mind?

29:10

Are the people, events, places,

29:12

etc., in our dreams personal

29:14

symbols to us and

29:17

add to what Jung calls the

29:19

collective unconscious? Are these dreams real?

29:21

Where do they come from? Are

29:23

they messages from your guides, your loved

29:25

ones from across the veil, the

29:27

Akashic records, as if your own subconscious

29:30

or unconscious mind, your own intuition working?

29:32

And the truth is we really don't

29:34

know. We really don't know. But if

29:36

you have ever had a precognitive

29:39

dream and it has come true,

29:42

then you have some basis to believe

29:44

that this is in fact true. And

29:46

I think that there are ways that

29:49

we can work with our dream states.

29:51

I personally believe that dreams are often

29:53

messengers, sometimes not. Sometimes they're what I

29:55

think scientists actually even

29:57

call trash dreams, where you are processing.

30:00

your day. Sometimes they are

30:03

information given to you in your dream

30:05

state that you need. So you can

30:07

train yourself to be

30:09

aware of your dreams every night by keeping

30:11

a notepad and a pencil by your bed

30:13

or a tape recorder, telling yourself that you

30:16

will wake up and remember your dreams. And

30:18

at first, what I think will happen, or

30:20

certainly did with me, is I would wake

30:22

up during the night and only could hold

30:25

on to a fragment of a dream. But

30:27

I would write it down, and I

30:30

would ask for more clarity and more

30:32

symbols. And my subconscious began to work

30:34

with me with that to a point

30:36

where I could remember

30:38

a lot more of my dreams. And

30:41

I began to realize that some

30:43

of the symbols in my dreams were

30:46

my own personal symbol, my own

30:48

personal dictionary. Some came

30:50

from the collective unconscious that Carl Jung

30:52

gives us information about. One of the

30:55

things I would invite you to kind

30:57

of steer away from is just googling

30:59

what do snakes mean, for example. Don't

31:01

Google that because you're going to come up with

31:03

a bunch of different answers and

31:06

different cultural beliefs. And

31:08

what becomes important is what do snakes mean

31:10

to you, not what do they mean in

31:12

various other places, for example. So

31:15

basically, creating your own dream dictionary

31:17

is what I'm suggesting here. And

31:20

I think that your day life becomes

31:22

richer when you have a connection to

31:25

your dream life. And one

31:27

of the things that also happens in as

31:29

a gift from our dream world

31:31

in terms of intuition is that we do

31:34

get messages, I think, from our loved ones

31:36

across the veil. And I've talked before on

31:39

this podcast about episodes where I have had

31:41

visits from loved ones from the other side

31:43

in my dream state. And

31:46

I have to tell you, Samantha, that when

31:48

we were talking about psychometry earlier and

31:50

we were talking about Merlin, my wonderful magic

31:52

cat, I had a dream about him last

31:55

night. And he was as alive and warm

31:57

and smelled just like he did

31:59

all those years. years ago to me. And so

32:01

he still comes to see me sometimes. And I

32:03

just think that's just a wonderful gift from him.

32:05

And I know it. I know

32:07

that when he comes, I'm being comforted

32:09

and told that things are okay. So

32:12

we have so much more to talk

32:14

about in terms of before we wrap

32:16

up, I just want to say that

32:18

last year, we did a whole episode

32:20

on dreaming and lucid dreaming and how

32:22

to remember your dreams. So look back

32:24

into our archives for that because there's

32:26

a lot of fun tips we've mentioned

32:29

on how to remember your dreams. And

32:31

on my other podcast, Enlightened Empaths, just

32:34

this past October, we did

32:36

a whole one hour show

32:38

on precognitive dreaming. And the

32:40

research we came up with was really fascinating.

32:43

I think it was the

32:45

1940s or 50s in England, a

32:48

man opened up a phone, not like a

32:50

1-800 phone thing, but

32:52

he provided a phone number and a

32:54

newspaper column where people could report their

32:56

precognitive dreams. And he tracked it for

32:58

a number of years and then published

33:00

his findings. And so

33:02

while I agree with you, Deb, that science

33:05

isn't on board, some scientists are open to

33:07

it. And there has been some pretty cool

33:09

research. And we also talk about on that

33:11

Enlightened Empaths episode, some of the research done

33:14

into 9-11. I mean, so

33:16

many people reported dreaming of that before it

33:18

happened. So I recommend you

33:20

check that out too. It's a fascinating topic

33:22

to dive into, but yeah, we are at

33:24

a time. We hope you guys have a

33:27

great week. As always, be the light for

33:29

yourself and others. Take care,
