The audio tour for Monet’s Garden consists of three parts. In the Conservatory, learn about the development of painter Claude Monet’s water garden at Giverny and the reasoning behind his design choices from Professor Paul Hayes Tucker, the world’s leading Monet scholar and guest curator of the exhibition. In the Library, hear more from Professor Tucker about the two original Monet paintings on display: "The Artist’s Garden" and "Irises." Finally, the Monet to Mallarmé Poetry Walk is a self-guided tour from the Leon Levy Visitor Center along Perennial Garden Way to the Conservatory Plaza developed in collaboration with Poetry Society of America. It features the poems of symbolist poets who were active members of the same artistic circles as Monet during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Rosanna Warren, a French poetry expert and professor, provides commentary about the selected poems and Monet’s relationships with their authors.
