"If you're around long enough, the sheer math catches-up with you." - Rob Lowe on the inevitable 'dry spells' all actors experience. This episode is a treat from start to finish. Demi reminisces about A Few Good Men with relish, revealing why Jack Nicholson's on-set behaviour makes him the ultimate icon. She also shares a glorious story of how she auditioned for Top Gun, and bombed. Yes, Demi was initially up for the role of Charlie Blackwood, but due to her horrendous screen test, the part went to Kelly McGillis.Rob & Demi have a warm, easy-going chat, and as they discuss the first time they met (many, many, many years ago), there's a sweet nostalgia to their memories, despite the fact Demi can't remember all of it!It's annoyingly common for podcast hosts to forget that listeners rarely have the same level of industry knowledge as they do, but here, I appreciate how Rob often fills in the gaps for listeners, explaining industry terms, jargon and history. A definite recommend from me - although I can not lie, Ghost was depressingly absent from their chat!!
