0:06

And I just really encourage

0:08

you when you have

0:10

somebody that's hurt you and you're having a

0:12

really hard time getting over it, start praying

0:14

for the person. It doesn't have to be

0:16

long. Just, God,

0:18

I forgive them and I ask you to bless

0:20

them and I pray for them.

0:22

Pray they'll have a good day and, you

0:25

know, I mean, nothing makes the enemy

0:27

matter than that kind of

0:29

stuff. I'm Joyce Meyer

0:31

and I believe that God

0:33

can heal you everywhere you hurt.

0:40

Well, thank you for joining me today on

0:42

Enjoying Everyday Life. And, you know, we do want

0:44

to do that, don't we? We

0:46

want to enjoy every day of our

0:48

life. You know, since I've

0:50

gotten a little bit older, I mean, just a little bit.

0:52

Since I've gotten a little bit older, it's

0:55

really important to me that I don't waste

0:57

days. And the devil really

0:59

likes us to waste our days. He likes to

1:01

find ways to get us to just waste our

1:03

time. And so we're going to do a couple

1:06

of messages this week about the

1:09

devil. Today I'm going to talk about how does

1:11

the devil attack us. Now, you

1:13

know, there's a lot of subjects that I would rather

1:15

teach on other than the devil. That's

1:18

just not, I'm sure you're thinking, oh boy, great, this

1:20

is going to be good. But

1:22

the problem is, is if we

1:24

don't ever teach on things like that,

1:27

people tend to forget when

1:31

something's going on in their life that the devil

1:33

is behind it. Even

1:36

though he's working through a

1:39

person, he'll work through

1:41

anybody that he can. He'll work through somebody that's

1:43

born again, somebody that's not. You

1:45

know, a lot of times, sadly, we let the enemy

1:47

use us and we don't even realize

1:50

that that's what's going on. I

1:52

mean, just by saying something to somebody that can

1:54

really make them feel insecure or bad or

1:57

whatever. I

2:01

was really distressed when I had read

2:03

that 50% of Christians don't believe the

2:05

devil is real. Wow. 50%

2:12

don't believe the devil is real. And I thought,

2:14

well, what do you think is going on? You

2:17

know, I mean, it's not. And then

2:19

even among those who don't do, they don't realize

2:21

that he is really... Of

2:24

course, he's a spirit, so he doesn't have

2:26

a body like we do. But it's not

2:28

just an influence or an entity. The

2:31

devil is actually real. And

2:35

there's not only him, but he

2:37

took a third of the angels with him when he got kicked

2:39

out of heaven. And so, however many

2:41

that is, that's a lot of them. And

2:44

Jesus dealt with the devil all the time. He

2:47

dealt with demons all the time. And so

2:50

he's given us authority in this area. And

2:52

I just find even for

2:55

me, just studying the subject again made

2:57

me realize how often even

2:59

I forget, oh yeah, it's just the

3:02

devil. Or even

3:04

really remembering, you know, do any

3:06

of you ever think stupid things?

3:10

You know, and you just think, why

3:14

am I thinking that? And

3:16

then, but now I'm

3:19

refreshed again, you know, that's just... The

3:22

enemy just dropping that lie in my mind. So how

3:25

does the devil attack us? First of all, we know

3:27

that our minds are his favorite playground. The

3:29

mind is the battlefield. There's

3:32

a couple of great scriptures. I'm not going to read

3:34

them both in detail. But

3:37

in 2 Corinthians 10, 4, and 5, it

3:39

says, the weapons of our warfare are

3:41

not physical weapons. So if they're not physical,

3:44

they must be spiritual. And you know, those

3:47

weapons are things like praise and worship. Do

3:50

you know that gratitude is a weapon against the

3:52

enemy? He provokes

3:54

us to try to complain,

3:57

and God wants us

3:59

to be thankful. in all

4:01

things and deception. He tries to

4:03

deceive us. It would be

4:05

amazing just in this room here today and

4:07

let alone all the wonderful people watching

4:10

on your whatever thing you're watching it on, how

4:14

many lies we believe

4:17

and don't even realize that they're lies.

4:21

Since you've gotten to know the word, haven't

4:24

you realized, well, man, I believe that and that

4:26

wasn't even true. Well, I

4:29

find that there's still things that I'm learning.

4:31

It's like, you

4:33

know, we need to really compare what we

4:35

believe to the word of God. So

4:38

we know that what we're believing is

4:41

true because his number

4:43

one trick, if you

4:45

wanna call it that, is to deceive people. And

4:49

the greatest deception is he's not real.

4:52

So that 50% of people

4:55

are utterly deceived because if we think he's

4:57

not real, then we'll never catch

5:00

him at what he's doing. And so, and

5:04

then it says with these weapons,

5:06

which our greatest weapon is the word of God.

5:09

We refute arguments and theories and reasonings and

5:11

all these proud and lofty things that fall

5:13

into our head that don't agree with the

5:15

word of God. And then in Romans 12,

5:17

it says that we should have our minds

5:20

completely renewed and

5:22

it's done with the word of God. Otherwise,

5:24

we will never experience a good plan that

5:27

God has for our life. You

5:29

may hear about it, wish

5:31

you had it, read about it, but

5:33

you will not experience it if

5:37

you don't learn how to think right. And then

5:39

the next thing that

5:41

he likes to use against us is our

5:43

emotions. And so he starts with our mind

5:45

because your thoughts affect your emotions. You

5:48

know, you can be feeling

5:50

perfectly fine and you can sit and think

5:53

about something that somebody did to you recently.

5:56

I mean, you weren't even thinking about it. You got

5:58

over it. You know, you've done all this.
