At this time I've only heard the first 2 episodes. I'll update when needed. I am definitely a fan of the tabletop rpg / podcast genre, by and large. The Dads have come into a crowded field, but they have held their own but they make a great first impression. They are using quality recording equipment, and have edited the episodes so things flow well. They've even added some sound effects, just enough to add to the scene and not distract or overwhelm it. Our 5 Dads and their DM (Daddy Master) all seem to be comfortable interacting in front of the microphones and with each other. They have taken time building their characters and all are knowledgeable of the rules of 5e. So gameplay starts off quickly, and with a small premise of a carpool to a soccer tournament we're introduced to the dad's and their sons. Every character is distinct and the dads in particular feel memorable, if a bit cartoonish (it is a game, after all.) Anyone who had played 5e or listened to other D&D podcasts will recognize they're playing in very familiar territory, with the town's Phandolin, Neverwinter, and so on. I don't mind, I think they as players and content creators have a lot they have to take on in order to make a quality podcast every 2 weeks. It is my hope however that with time they'll make the setting their own. Overall, I feel I'm late to the party, but if you're on the fence about trying them out give episode 1 a listen. If you like D&D podcasts I'm sure this one will bring what you're looking for.
